If you're a founder or funder curious about what kinds of funding might be right for you, check out Capital Explorer, a free tool that will help you discover which of up to 16 different financing options might be right for you!

Capital Explorer is one of several free tools from Village Capital that help entrepreneurs on their way to building scalable, mission-driven businesses worldwide -- including with aligned financing sources.

Here's a nifty preview.

Want more support? Trainings & 1:1 advising for founders and funders

Today I provide one-on-one advisory, group trainings, and fund-level strategy sessions with Village Capital, Considered Capital, and many other partners to help bring this work into the mainstream.

By the way, this tool is not only valuable for founders. The same logic applies for funders. If you have a thesis to support more mission-driven businesses, start with the outcome you want to create and work backwards. Start with the problem you are trying to solve, not the financing tool. If your goal is to produce more IPO-scale businesses on a three to five-year timeline, then venture capital might be the right fit. If you want to incentivize mission or impact at scale, there are many other tools that are better suited.

If you are a funder and you are concerned about mission fidelity or reputational risk, there are ways to address this directly through your term sheets and your financing options. There are instruments that are designed for this. We can choose something that is genuinely fit for purpose, and I am happy to help you on your way.
