"Equitech Connect"
Since 2023, the Equitech event kicking off SXSW brings together hundreds of aligned funders, founders, ecosystem builders, and allies.
Our registration process asks guests to share info about themselves, why they want to come, and who they wanted to meet. From reviewing these responses on the back-end, we saw so many people who should connect. Instead of making manual introductions, or being a gate-keeper, we've built a very simple low-code tool to facilitate double-opt-in connections based on the content shared and not fancy titles or pedigrees. Think of it as "The Voice" for intros!

How to Connect with Equitech Guests

First, view this airtable of guests at the Equitech breakfast. Note: all names and contact info has been removed from the form and replaced with Unique ID #s (UID#). A couple of views of interests based on filters includes:

Funders - Those who said they are currently deploying capital

A list of guests who shared particularly interesting info

Open this form in a 2nd window. For everyone you'd like to be introduced to, enter their UID# on the form. Note: to help ensure sensible use of the tool, you can enter up to 5 UID#s at a time. At this time, we have not built in ways to "favorite" tiles to make your own curated list. So, you may want to keep two windows open and enter the UID#s as you filter and review guests.

Once all of your requested intros are included as UIDs, submit the form & wait for the intros to be made! Once you submit the form, an auto-generated message will send those you're interested to connect with an email with your request, and if they agree, an auto-generated email will introduce you both over email.
